Client: Michigan Electric Transmission CO.
Location: Keystone Substation, Traverse City, Michigan
Project consisted of replacement of three (3) 345kV air blast circuit breakers with new ABB Hydraulic SF-6 circuit breakers. Installation included replacing breaker failure relaying and all new control cables between control house and breaker. Two sets of 345kV line CCVT were also replaced. In conjunction with the work at Keystone 345kV lightning arrester where installed at the remote end of the two 345kV transmission line feeding Keystone. These lightning arresters were located at the Ludington and Livingstone substations.
