Client: Wolverine Power Cooperative
Location: Hersey Generating Facility, Hersey, Michigan
Project consisted of relocation of a 1000kW CAT generator and installing it in new building. This generator is to be used as a black start generator to provide power to distribution bus to start other larger gas turbine running in the event that all power is out in the areas. The design included new exhaust system, new fuel storage system and building ventilation for combustion air and cooling. Interconnection to existing 12.47kV distribution bus through new step-up transformer was also provided.
